Jason Hitchcock
Glass Artist & Sculptor
Born in Newark DE, Jason Hitchcock developed a passion for art from an early age which led him to Salem Community College in New Jersey and the world of glass art. Jason put his creative abilities and intense work ethic to work studying flameworking and glassblowing while obtaining his Fine Arts degree in Glass Art. Shortly after graduating, he relocated to the Outer Banks in North Carolina where he became inspired by the natural beauty of the ocean and began to incorporate this imagery into his designs. In 2018, Jason was accepted a position at The Corning Museum of Glass.

"We cannot always see how profoundly amazing the underworld of the sea is. My work takes a closer look into the natural, organic beauty of the ocean and puts it into our own hands. The shapes and forms of evolution provide the endless possibilities that the ocean has to offer. This drives my passion and creative development in flameworking, allowing my art to inspire others to appreciate the complex
wonders of glass and the sea."
